In few other places in the world is it as easy to find memories, traces, and testimonies of the past as in Sardinia, a living history through its continually practiced age-old traditions and current use of popular costumes. In order to fully appreciate the Sardinian People, visit one of the numerous civil museums or one of the big museums of Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro, or Oristano; or attend one of the hundred or more festivals with ancient rituals and parades in local costume; or visit the old shops of the master rural artists to discover authentic treasures that reveal the cultural and traditional nature of the people.
With its rich folkloristic customs and its tradition of hospitality, the island will be difficult to forget.
The local gastronomy is known for its natural quality and for its fresh fish which is the most flavorful in the world. The Sardinan shepherds guarantee delicious fresh dairy products and savoury meats with a natural taste.
One cannot leave Sardinia, land of the sun and ideal climate, without trying the "dolcetti", a typical pastry known for its tastiness, often enjoyed along with a small glass of "mirto" (myrtle liqueur) or some quality wine assured by millenniums of tradition.
